29 CFR 1910.30(a)(3) The employer must train each employee in at least the following topics: (i) The nature of the fall hazards in the work area and how to recognize them; (ii) The procedures to be followed to minimize those hazards; On July 25, 2017 The employer did not address the nature of the fall hazards associated with using a 6' Werner portable ladder while operating a 19 pound Pro Press to ensure that when such a heavy tool is required for use employees followed the companys January 2016 procedures that required them to utilize a set of rolling stairs which has railings when using heavy or awkward tools.
