Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) This violation occurred on or about July 24, 2017, on the main floor of the facility, on the trolley, where employees applying a pry bar at the base of the external rough-cut granite slab in order to create a gap between the rough-cut slab and the slab it was laying against, while also attempting to place a five-inch diameter wire rope sling around the rough-cut slab so that it could be lifted and moved with a five-ton overhead crane.
