29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: The controlling contractor is failing to ensure that all employees of the sub-contractor Milton Soto exposed to eye and face hazards from flying particles while working on a commercial roof. This most recently occurred on June 28, 2017 on the jobsite located at 10816 S 204th, Elkhorn, NE 68022. Employees were observed using a hand-held electric circular saw to install roofing material without any form of eye or face protection.
