Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.250(a)(1): Materials stored in tiers were not stacked, racked, blocked, interlocked, or otherwise secured to prevent sliding, falling or collapse: a) New Jersey Lay Down Yard - A carpenter was erecting a crate around 12 pieces of marble that measured approximately 1 inch thick, between 50 inches and 80 inches long and 48 inches wide, that were not secured and the stack fell, causing an injury to the carpenter's foot, on or about 06/06/2017. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
