29 CFR 1910.28(b)(4)(i): (i) The employer must ensure that each employee on a dockboard is protected from falling 4 feet (1.2 m) or more to a lower level by a guardrail system or handrails. 1) Dock Area (White-wood side): On or about April 20, 2017, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 4 feet by not ensuring all open sides around the docks were guarded while employees were working around the dock and operating forklift trucks. 2) Dock Area (Blue-wood side): On or about April 20, 2017, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 4 feet by not ensuring all open sides around the docks were guarded while employees were working around the dock and operating forklift trucks.
