Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to stuck-by and crush-by hazards: a) Warehouses/Facility; On or about April 19, 2017, and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to struck-by and crush-by hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work around steel storage racks that had damaged columns and support braces. Additionally, the employer failed to ensure that a placard indicating the storage racks maximum loading capacity was conspicuously displayed on the racks to ensure the rack wouldn't become overloaded.
