Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, there were no suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body within the work area for immediate emergency use: A.) On or about September 1, 2017 at 89-02 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372 (Meat Department) The employer failed to provide employees with suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body within the work area who are required to use hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to; E-Z Suds containing Isopropyl Alcohol, Epic Dical 2 containing Quaternary Ammonium Compounds and Clorox Bleach containing Sodium Hypochlorite to clean equipment throughout the building. B.) On or about September 1, 2017 at 89-02 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372 (Deli Department) The employer failed to provide employees with suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body within the work area who are required to use hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to; E-Z Suds containing Isopropyl Alcohol, Epic Dical 2 containing Quaternary Ammonium Compounds and Clorox Bleach containing Sodium Hypochlorite, to clean equipment throughout the building. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
