Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to a roll-over hazard: a) Goldberg Field; On or about April 13, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer permitted employees operating an Exmark Zero-Turn ride-on mower to operate the equipment on inclines greater than 15 degrees exposing them to roll-over hazards. b) Fort Rucker Airfields; On or about April 13, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer permitted employees operating an Exmark Zero-Turn ride-on mower to operate the equipment without wearing a seatbelt when the roll-over protection system (ROPS) was engaged and permitted employees to not utilize the ROPS exposing employees to crush-by hazards.
