Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) On or about June 28, 1995, employees were exposed to the hazard of a collapsing roof canopy structure for pool shelter house after removing lateral bracing to facilitate delivery of concrete. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct these hazards is to brace all building structures to with stand wind load or pressure for a minimum of 20 psf such as that required by Wisconsin Building Codes, ILHR 53.12 WIND LOADS(1).
