29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(iii)(C): Where an assured equipment grounding conductor program was being utilized, the employer did not ensure that each cord set, attachment cap, plug and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, except cord sets and receptacles which are fixed and not exposed to damage, were not visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indicationsof possible internal damage. (a) Worksite: The employer did not ensure that the electrical cord for the Dewalt DW870 chop-saw was free from damage. Employees are exposed to electrical hazards due to the damaged electrical cord, on or about April 12, 2017. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
