OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees a. On or about February 28, 2017, throughout the manufacturing spaces in the facility, the employer used Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe to provide compressed air, with a measured air pressure of 125 pounds per square inch (psi), delivered to twenty (20) hose connection stations used for the operation of portable hand tools and woodworking type machinery. The PVC pipe was not approved for use with compressed air and exposed employees to laceration and puncture hazards in the event that the pipe shattered or failed.
