OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): : The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to: (a) On or about 02/18/2017 - Carpenter Technology Corporation, 22110 Thomas L Hammons Road, Tanner, AL, employee operated a 3200 Bobcat Utility vehicle on a hill with a slope of 25 degrees when inspecting the retention pond resulting in a tip over hazard. A feasible method of abatement would be to establish and implement a policy that, in addition to existing operational stickers on the Bobcat, references the instructions in the Bobcat Operations & Maintenance Manual, page 43 that prohibits operating the vehicle on steep hills with a slope greater than 15 degrees.
