1910.25(c)(3): The employer did not ensure standard stairs had a minimum tread depth of 9.5 inches. The stairs did not meet the exception stated in Table D-1 of 1910.25(c)(5) for installation prior to January 17, 2017. Line 1 Bagger Catwalk Stairs- On or about January 31, 2017 employees performing preventative maintenance on the Line 1 Bagging Machine were exposed to fall hazards when stairs used to access the catwalk had a tread depth of 5 inches. Abatement documentation per 1903.19(d) is required for this item.
