29 CFR 1926.964(b)(1): Tension stringing method. When lines that employees are installing or removing can contact energized parts, the employer shall use the tension stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility that conductors and cables the employees are installing or removing will contact energized power lines or equipment. On or about January 22, 2017, and at times prior there to, the employer did not ensure that employees installing power lines that could contact energized parts utilized the tension-stringing method, barriers, or other equivalent measures to minimize the possibility of contact with live parts. Employees were exposed to electric shock hazards.
