Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying, chips and sparks: (a) On or about January 17, 2017, at least one (1) employee working in the maintenance department and operating a W.F. Wells and Son, Inc. 20033744, band saw, model number L-9, to cut aluminum pipe was exposed to an amputation hazard. Tysons Foods, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1101850, citation number 01, item number 01, and was affirmed as a final order on 01/13/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 442 Plant Street Waldron, AR 72958.
