29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: (a) at the jobsite, on or about January 24, 2017, employees welding metal decking on a red iron structure at an approximate height of 20 feet were not protected from fall hazards by any type of a fall protection system. Sonny Steel Erectors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 C.F.R. 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1127535, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 5, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 19235 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX 77450.
