Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Every open-sided floor or platform 4 feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level shall be guarded by a standard railing (or the equivalent as specified in paragraph (e)(3) of this section)on all open sides except where there is an entrance to a ramp, stairway, or fixed ladder: (a) On or about December 30, 2016, a driver was exposed to a fall in excess of four feet, while standing on an industrial scissors lift, unloading and loading a tractor trailer at CVS, 124 S. Main Street, Union, Ohio. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
