29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from a hazard created by rotating parts: (a) Temporary Grinding Area - On or about January 16, 2017, the employer failed to provide suitable safeguards to protect employees from the open hopper of a Rapid Model 150-35 Granulator while manually feeding scrap nylon sheets into the hopper, exposing these employees to an amputation hazard. Ensinger Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1023288, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2015 with respect to the same workplace in Greenwood, DE.
