29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: Roof, 70 Worcester Providence Turnpike, Millbury, MA: On or about January 17, 2017 employees working on the roof raising and lowering heat exchangers from the roof to the ground, were not protected from falls up to 33 feet by either guard rail systems, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems. Medford Wellington Service Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health or its equivalent standard 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1061754, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 8, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 318 Park Avenue Worcester, MA 01609. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
