29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) This violation occurred at the Grasselli cutting machine in the processing area where an employee opens it up to clean it twice a day without an energy control program including procedures and training exposing them to a caught-in hazard. DALLAS U.S.A. FOODS, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1123864, CITATION NUMBER 001 ITEM NUMBER 0003 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON AUGUST 18, 2016, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1880 LONE STAR DR, DALLAS, TX 75212.
