29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards. This was most recently documented on or about December 15, 2016 at the jobsite located at or near 507 Coleman Road in Belton, Missouri. An employee working in a trench with excavated materials located within two feet of the edge of the excavation exposing employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards.
