Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not insure and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by the competent person. The competent should have been capable of eliminating the hazard after discovering the employee was tying off to a lifting magnet instead of the prescribed methods as specified in 1926.502 and once the hazard was identified that item should have been removed from the worksite.
