29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Front balcony area; On or about December 7, 2016 employees were observed working on a residential roof without a personal fall arrest system in place to protect them from falling an estimated 27 feet to ground level. The C.K. McConkey & Sons was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1053566 , citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 24, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1431 Crittenden St. NW, Washington, DC 2011. The C.K. McConkey & Sons was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316302538, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 4, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1701 Foxhall Road NW, Washington DC 20016. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
