29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace. On or about November 16, 2016, throughout the facility, the employer allowed an employee to wear a Bullard 88VX Supplied-Air Respirator (SAR) blasting hood to blast housing components of motors and generators, without ensuring the employee was medically evaluated prior to allowing use of the respirator.
