Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of every workroom shall be maintained in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition. Where wet processes are used, drainage shall be maintained, and false floors, platforms, mats, or other dry standing places should be provided where practicable. (a) Thermoplastics and Polyester departments, plastic injection and compression molding machines: on or about November 8, 2016, machine operators and other employees in the area were exposed to slip and fall hazards due to oil leaks from equipment onto the floor. (b) Polyester department, "Automatics 1-5" area, ceiling: on or about November 17, 2016, machine operators and other employees in the area were exposed to slip and fall hazards due to a water leak dripping from the ceiling onto the floor. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
