29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(3): Ladders shall not be loaded beyond the maximum intended load for which they were built, nor beyond their manufacturer's rated capacity. 1) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure the Werner extension ladder was not loaded beyond the maximum weight capacity, three-hundred pounds (300lbs.), thus exposing employees to fall hazards. Three (3) employees used the ladder at one time to access the roof. Condition observed on/about 28 OCT 2016.
