OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards while signaling trailers into the loading dock: Location: 9 Rockview Way Rockland, MA Employees, who were not trained properly in the use of a loading dock lip plate assembly, used their hands to operate the lip plate and also stood on the ground level as a trailer backed up to the dock; both of these actions were prohibited by the lip plate operator's manual.
