Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards associated with improper automobile lift operations: (a) On or about October 12, 2016, and at times prior, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards while working on automotive lifts as follows: 1 - Lifts were not inspected annually by a qualified person. 2 - Lifts were not inspected daily during use to ensure that they were properly maintained and functional. 3 - Lift #1 Was missing 3 out of 4 rubber pads on the swing-arm bases.
