29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: The employer is failing to protect employees from crushed-by and struck-by hazards. This was most recently documented on October 17, 2016 when employees were not provided with an Energy Control Program. The employer had not developed or implemented an Energy Control Program for the various types of machinery and equipment related to bag manufacturing activities, including but not limited to the Weber Bag Machine Model #1667 Serial #744, known by the company as Machine 9.
