29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about October 12, 2016 employees in the deli area were exposed to chemical hazards associated with the use of corrosive commercial cleaning chemicals including "Kay" Quaternary Cleaner, "Ecolab" Retail Chlorinated Cleaner, "Ecolab" Greasestrip Plus and "Ecolab" Victory water additive for pathogen reduction where the employer did not perform a hazard assessment for the use of these chemicals in the workplace. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
