Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards by motor vehicles when loading trailers in the roadway without high visibility safety vests and/or a warning system to alert drivers of employees working in the roadway. On or about 10/3/16, the employer did not require employees to wear high visibility safety vests and did not ensure safety cones were placed in the roadway to alert oncoming traffic, while employees load and unload trailers in the roadway.
