29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Winchester, MA On or about October 4, 2016 employees were exposed to falls of up to 11-feet, 8-inches to the ground below, while working on a residential roof removing and shoveling asphalt shingles where fall protection had not been used. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that a fall protection system is in place to protect each employee working 6 feet or more above a lower level from falling.
