29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level. a. At the work site located at 10787 Ensley Drive, Bolivar, Ohio, on August 4, 2016, the stock room emergency exit doors were obstructed by mops, bags of trash, boxes, and containers. b. At the work site located at 10787 Ensley Drive, Bolivar, Ohio, on August 4, 2016, the sales floor emergency exit at the back of the store was obstructed by six large plastic trash cans with lids on the left side and by four U-Haul cardboard boxes of store merchandise on the right side. The DOLGENCORP Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158861, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 304 Briarwood Drive, Jackson, Mississippi. The DOLGENCORP Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1105836, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 27, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at34300 MS 35, Vaiden, Mississippi.
