29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(iv): Space within the spray booth on the downstream and upstream sides of filters were not protected with approved automatic sprinklers: On or about July 13, 2016 and at times prior there to, overspray dry filters in the COL-MET spray booth(s) located in the powder coating area(s) were not protected by approved automatic sprinklers on the upstream and downstream side of the filters. Employees are exposed to fire and explosion hazards during manual electrostatic powder spraying operations. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure sprinklers are provided upstream and downstream of the spray booth filters to protect employees from hazards created by fire and explosions.
