29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: On or about July 14, 2016, at or near 9 Lakeside Lane, Newport, AR 72112, employees engaged in removing or replacing a drain pipe on a HVAC unit were exposed to electrical hazards in the following instances: a. A bare electric wire was hanging from a thermostat on the rafters in the attic. b. A broken light bulb was hanging from the rafters in the attic.
