Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of l970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) An employee was exposed to the hazard of being crushed during the erection of a wood framed wall of a residence under construction at 1465 Periwinkle Dr., Boulder, Co 80302, due to the lack of adequate temporary bracing in that no bracing was used. Among other methods, one method of abatement to correct the hazard is: Provide adequate temporary erection bracing in areas necessary to stabilize the wall-securing it from falling on workers performing the erection operation.
