Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: %% (a) The hazard of being struck by a fallen snag while working within approximately 100 feet of a sawyer, on Gobblers Knob near McGreagor Lake, MT on or about August 17, 1992. %% Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to assure by taking notice that such persons are not only out of reach of the tree, but also out of danger of possible sidewinders, snags of other trees which may be knocked over by the tree being felled. %% %%
