Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
129 CFR 1910.36(e)(1): A side-hinged door shall be used to connect any room to an exit route: The employer is failing to protect employees from emergency egress hazards associated with inadequate exit routes. The most recent occurrence of this was evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2215 Leavenworth St., Omaha, NE, where the employer has employees working in the machine shop area of the facility with inadequate egress. Instances include but are not limited to: i. Entry way into west loading dock area is tarped off and does not have a hinged door for egress of the facility. ii. Entry way into east side of machine shop is tarped off and does not have a hinged door for egress of the area. iii. Entry way into the main plant area is through an overhead door and does not have a hinged door for egress.
