Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.50(c): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, hospital, or physician, that is reasonably accessible in terms of time and distance to the worksite, which is available for the treatment of injured employees, a person was not available at the worksite to render first aid with a valid certificate in first-aid training from the U.S. Bureau of Mines, the American Red Cross, or equivalent training that could be verified by documentary evidence. On or about 5/10/16 at the worksite located at 6239 Upper Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville, LA; the employer allowed employees to work at a distance of nine miles and 19 minutes from the nearest medical center, and did not have verified documentary evidence of a person at the worksite to render first aid with a valid certificate in first-aid training; thus resulting in delay of medical treatment.
