29 CFR 1926.959(a)(2): Inspection before use. The critical safety components of mechanical elevating and rotating equipment did not receive a thorough visual inspection before use on each shift: At Freymuth Road near Eisenbath Road intersection in Saint Paul, MO 63366 - On or about 05/05/2016, employees were exposed to elevated fall hazards where the critical safety components of mechanical and rotating equipment, such as, but not limited to, the boom of an "ALTEC" bucket truck (VIN No. 544342), did not receive a thorough visual inspection before use on each shift. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19
