29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system, nor are employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Fred Bartlett Enterprises, Inc. does not ensure the use of fall protection while doing roofing work. This violation was most recently observed at 584 West Mountain Road, Queensbury, NY while employees were installing shingles on the garage - where three employees were not protected from an approximately 10' fall to the ground on May 6, 2016. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing roofing work are protected from falls and that no employee is allowed to be exposed to a fall hazard of 6 feet or more without adequate fall protection. Fred Bartlett Enterprises Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1057071, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/20/16, with respect to a workplace located at 3 Edgewater Place, Glens Falls, NY. Bartlett Enterprises was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 472718.015, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/02/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 378 Canada St. in Lake George NY.
