Section 5 (a) (1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: The hazard of falling approximately 16 feet 6 inches from an unsecured and unprotected work platform on a Powered Industrial High Lift Truck. At aisle "D" 700 basement area, 55 Hunter Lane, Elmsford, N.Y. On or about 04/30/94 a) Employee(s) being elevated by Crown Reach Fork Lift Truck S/N 98617, Model ##35 RRTT, while kneeling on the unprotected and unsecured wooden pallet to count inventory, employee was exposed to the hazard of falling up to 16 feet 6 inches to pavement below. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS...
