OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employee(s) were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards: a) On or about March 18, 2016, on the Mississippi River, in Port Allen, Louisiana, the employer allowed employees to be exposed to struck-by/crushing hazards while engaged in mooring operations. Employees were attempting to secure a barge in tow to a barge dock.
