Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) Location - Roof level: On or before 05/06/99, employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed while manually trying to re-install a 15 foot structural beam W8X13. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to use a crane or other mechanized equipment to hold the weight of the beam during re-installation.
