29 CFR 1910.106(g)(8): "Sources of ignition." In addition to the previous restrictions of this paragraph, the following shall apply: There shall be no smoking or open flames in the areas used for fueling, servicing fuel systems for internal combustion engines, receiving or dispensing of flammable liquids. Conspicuous and legible signs prohibiting smoking shall be posted within sight of the customer being served. - Location: Auto Service Facility Employees were exposed to fire hazards while smoking in the auto service area, where fuels system components are removed and replaced, and where fuel system components may leak fuel. Monro Muffler Brake, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.0106(g)(8), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315138164, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 1, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 102 Falmouth Road, Hyannis, MA.
