Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential crushing injuries while working under a load suspended by an industrial scissors lift: (a)Pre-Fab Area; Gooseneck Front End Station - Employee(s) were working under the front end section of a trailer which was attached to an Autoquip Corporation Series 35 Scissors Lift which was not designed by the manufacturer for that purpose. The lift was also not secured to the floor as prescribed by the manufacturer, on or about June 4, 2002.
