Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a. In the 1st floor Jigger Area, the push-button enclosure for the Budgit 1/4 ton Hoist (model 11854116, serial 255282) was not marked for identification of functions exposing employees to a struck-by hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to mark/label the push-button enclosure with the identification of the function of each button in accordance with American National Standard AMSE B30.16-2003. b.In the Mold Room, the push-button enclosure for the Budgit 1 ton Hoist, model 115845-16, serial 263931 was not marked for identification of functions, thus exposing employees to a struck-by hazard.
