29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of American National Standards Institute, B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care and Protection of Abrasive Wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section: a- 5th Floor - 642 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn NY: On or about 1/14/16 site workers were exposed to struck by injuries when using a Bosch 1347A handheld electric grinder that without any guard. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
