Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling hazards: a.At 3625 University Blvd., South, on the west side roof top, employees were exposed to a serious fall hazard of 54 feet while working on a roof top ledge without being provided with a means of fall protection. Some feasible and acceptable abatement methods, among others used by this industry are: 1.Catch platforms 2.Guardrails 3.Nets 4.Static line w/lanyard and safety belt 5.Motionstopping safety
