Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the potential for injuries caused by falls from the conveyor which leads from the hopper to the Royer Trommell Screen: a) Wood Separator Area - employees climb to the top of the conveyor which transports wood chips to the screen, in order to repair the Royer Tommell Screen; 5-10-90 "Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct the hazard is to construct a walkway with standard rails and standard rails and toeboards which runs along the outside of conveyor."
